Plano cases are great. Good prices, good storage capacity, high quality construction. I have mine mounted to the wall near my desk and it holds all my office supplies and a lot more.My only complaint with this case is the awful color. Maybe this color is acceptable in the garage, but I wanted to keep my inside. Storage devices are not meant to stand out like a sore thumb, and my decor does not match nicely with bright red. I ended up painting my black, and now it looks great. I used a spray paint from the hardware store (Krylon Fusion for Plastic).Unfortunately, it looks like Plano is no longer making this product. I hope they bring it back with a better color selection.I gave this five stars because functionally and in build quality, it's great. I assume if someone buys this they already know what color it is going to be.

GREAT PRODUCT , BUT... THE BLACK TABS THAT LOCK EACH OF THE 4 BOXESARE JUST SNAPED ON AND COME OF VERY EASILY. I HAD 6 COME OFF IN SHIPPING THE ORDER. WITH THE HELP OF AMIZON I WAS NOT ONLY ABLE TO GET THESE REPLACEMENT SNAP LOCKS BUT I WAS SENT TWO WHOLE NEW PLANO MOLDING 974's. THEY COME STRAPED TOGETHER WITH A PLASTIC STRAP WHICH I CUT INTO SMALL PIECES WHICH I THEM GLUED IN PLACE TO THE OPEN SECTION OF THE BACK/OPEN AREA OF THE BLACK CASE LOCKS WHICH HAS WORKED PERFECTLY IN SOLVING THE PROBLEM. I USE "GOOP HOUSEHOLD" AS THE ADHESIVE. A SHOUT OUT GOES TO PLANO AND AMIZON FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOUND IN REPLACING THE PLANO MOLDING 974's.

The units work ok, but I've found two things that keep me from giving a five star review.1. The slide-in compartment clips raise up easily and allow parts to mix. They don't "snap" when inserted, so they tend to float and let smaller parts pass under the edge to other compartments. I've spent some time pulling parts out, resetting the dividers and then putting the parts back in. I guess I could glue the dividers in, but that seems to defeat the flexibility option.2. The clip/clasps that keep the units closed are continually coming off. They are installed by sliding over a small plastic rod and easily "unclip" and fall off. Boxes are pretty sturdy, the case is pretty sturdy. Inserts need to be cut with a razor so no stub shows but they fit perfectly. I wound up putting in paper cupcake forms in the compartments for small pieces. just pick up the form, get a piece and put it back in. no fumbling needed. Or use a magnet to get a bunch of them.Need to figure out a way to keep a label in place; when you flip the lid open, I want a legend on the inside cover showing whats where.

I like these bin combos which stay together as one unit.These have nail or screw mounting slots for mounting on the wall.These use the older style Plano Pro Latch bins. and the fact you can mount them on a wall.These are not compatible with the new style bins which I don't like. The new style bins are too bulky and don't mix well with these older ones.I have a lot of different bins but because they cost so much I have to buy them a few at a time which I always regret because manufacturers often change designs and stores don't always keep them in stock (like the Keter Bait Box, or Costco 12gal flip top totes).1) This should be a better price as a combo. The Keter Bait Box 4pk combo was so much better and only about $16.2) These do not have a carry handle like the original Keter Bait Box. I have a bunch of those and was looking for more but they are no longer in production so I found this.3) The box is not perfectly square and does not lock the bins in (like the Keter Bait Box) so they can fall out when mounted in my service truck.4) These are a lot bigger than the Keter BB and bigger than they need to be.The Keter BB parts bins sometimes got broken, mostly over time from UV rays, and they are proprietary and could not be replaced. At least these Plano bins are the older Plano design which I have a lot of. Plano is going away from the old simple design and to a bulkier and more expensive style which take up more room and don't mix well with the older design so, just for that reason I hate the new Plano design bins (sold separately.)PLEASE ADD A CARRY HANDLE like the original Keter Bait Box. I will be left to using a string for a carry handle.Of the photos I added, the full blue box was the best. The newer version with half box I did not like.

After looking for something like this for two years I found these and glad I did. Mounted two in the front of my boat to hold Plano 3700 boxes and they worked out perfect. Easy to install and very sturdy.

Updated When I wrote the review below, This was being sold at $60, now since the price has dropped, I have increased this to 3 stars... still it should be somewhere around $20 given the quality.So I went back to review this and had planned on leaving 3 stars - but I bought mine just a few months ago for $29. When I realized the price had gone over $60, I could not leave 3 stars. At $30 I thought it was a bit expensive. The 4 clear cases are great and classic plano quality, however the red carrier is slightly warped on both units that I have (I have two of these). I would say that this is mostly a price thing, at $20 this would be a great product, at $30 tolerable, $60 seems excessive and it almost seems like there is an error in the system.
